Collage could be a good place to experiment. Just get some different bits of paper or cut things out from magazines, maybe different bits of fabric to get at different textures. Beads or buttons, tiny stones from outside somewhere. Just put them together in different ways and see how they look. Even if you don’t like the end result it doesn’t matter – the process itself can be quite meditative – you never know what could happen!
